![]() ![]() Both have free sans-art versions floating around if you want to check them out. Dark Streets is kind of an action pulp urban fantasy horror game, and Solar Blades is just straight up Masters of the Universe with a heavy metal soundtrack. Oh, and if any of you have never heard of these games, you are totally missing out- I'd describe them as very "Sine Nomine Publishing-esque" in terms of random charts and setting creation. I've never actually gotten to run either of these awesome games yet, but I'd love to, and I just want to make sure I understand the Gifted rules in case I get the chance. What happens if a level 1 character is casting a PL 1 power for that matter?) This book tries to answer those questions with a supplement for Dark Streets & Darker Secrets, an urban fantasy and action-horror game. In the Sorcery & Psionics section of both games, it states "Thus, to use a power, The Gifted spends an amount of Vitality points equal to the difference between the Power Level (PL) of the power and the character’s Level, and makes a Willpower test with a Difficulty equal to the same PL." What isn't clear to me though is what happens if, say, a level 3 character chooses to cast a lower PL version of a power, like at say PL 1? Does that mean that the level 3 caster uses the gift without losing any vitality and with a +2 bonus? Am I missing some rule somewhere that the vitality cost for powers can never be lower than 1 or something? □ (Come to think of it. I wasn't sure if there was an official name for the system used by these Gallant Knight Games products, but I do have a rules question about them: ![]()
